7.4.3.8 Active deflection vs. total deflection

Table 4.14 of ENV-1992-1-1:1991 as well as table 7.4 of prEN 1992-1, has been determined by limiting total deflections. However, as can be seen from figure Fig. 7.20, the limit of active deflection to a maximum value of L/500 is a more strict condition. Further consideration should be given to this fact.

7.4.3.9 Influence of relative humidity

The influence of relative humidity on the slenderness limits was studied for two different steel ratios: p = 0.5% and p = 1.5%. The slenderness limit was determined for these two steel ratios and relative humidity of 50, 60, 70 and 80%. The results are given in Fig. 7.21.
