10.2.2 Moment resistance Wide flange in compression

(1) The moment resistance of a liner tray with its wide flange in compression should be determined using the step-by-step procedure outlined in figure 10.9 as follows:

- Step 1: Determine the effective areas of all compression elements of the cross-section, based on values of the stress ratio \f/ = a2!ox obtained using the effective widths of the compression flanges but the gross areas of the webs;
